About this qualification
This qualification develops advanced specialist and managerial ICT skills for complex technical work. Graduates work independently, solve high-level problems and may provide team or strategic direction. TM’s elective structure concentrates on network engineering, security and ICT project work.
Learning focus: Design network architecture and troubleshoot advanced IP networks; Implement authentication, virtualisation and network traffic controls; Apply cybersecurity, privacy and professional ethics principles; Analyse business needs and recommend ICT solutions; Plan and direct complex ICT projects.
Entry requirements
You must meet Training Masters’ general entry requirements. The national training package lists no additional entry requirements for this qualification.
Study and employment pathways
Further study: You may apply for higher education in information technology, networking, telecommunications or cybersecurity. The receiving provider determines admission and credit.
Employment possibilities: Possible roles include Network Specialist, Network Engineer, ICT Systems Administrator, Cybersecurity Analyst, Technical Support Specialist or ICT Project Officer/Manager. Senior roles require experience.
